extractX Partners with Canada’s Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program

$1.48 million in funds highlighted for extractX Inc.

The morning of July 7th, 2021 was exciting for extractX Inc. and the Government of Canada as Parliamentary Secretary Neil Ellis and the Member of Parliament for Niagara Centre, Vance Badawey joined our team to announce that they have highlighted funding of up to $1.48 million from the Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program.

The ACT Program aims to foster an environment for the development and adoption of clean technologies that help cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improve energy efficiency, promoting sustainable and clean growth that helps meet Canada’s climate change goals.

Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector continues to innovate to reduce the environmental impact of its practices. By investing in clean technologies, we are contributing to a smaller carbon footprint and a better future, while supporting businesses like extractX so they can help grow the local economy and the agriculture sector as a whole.

Government of Canada supports cutting edge biotechnology company

extractX Inc. was highlighted for this funding because of our commitment to sustainable extraction processes. Our ethanol-based extraction labs help reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to other processes commonly used in the industry. Our commitment to building mobile extraction labs with the lowest carbon footprint helps Canada’s agriculture and Agri-Food sector in the fight against climate change.

The Government of Canada has been incredibly supportive throughout the process so far, going above and beyond to help us secure the ACT Program funding to complete the research and development of our extraction labs. We are confident and excited about our relationship with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, and truly see them as partners in continuously adopting more environmentally friendly practices and energy efficient technologies and remain leaders in our industry.
